Voyager designed in the mid 1970's as a mission to the two largest planets, Jupiter and Saturn, the Voyager mission was extended to include Uranus and Neptune to provide a "Grand Tour" of the gas giants of the outer solar system. This mission increased our knowledge of the outer planets more than anyone had ever imagined, and these amazing spacecraft continue to send back information even today. The list of discoveries made with these remarkable instruments of exploration is long and distinguished. With the flights of Voyager 1 and 2, the outer solar system came back to Earth and Voyager became one of the most famous spacecraft ever flown!
Also available for $10.00 is a Voyager CD ROM with 27 reference photos of the Voyager spacecraft. Most of these are photos from Barry Shanko of the engineering vehicle at JPL. The rest are NASA photos of the flight vehicles being tested before launch.
