T he first successful landing on Mars was acheived on July 20 1976 by the amazing robot craft Viking 1. Viking actually consisted of two sets of two spacecraft. An Orbiter, which carried the lander capsule to Mars and the lander itself. This kit contains both spacecraft and the lander capsule aeroshell. Also available is a CD ROM of Referenct photos to help you detail your model.
