T he first of the man-rated Saturn series, this vehicle launched the first Apollo astronauts into orbit on Apollo 7, all the SkyLab crews and the Apollo Soyuz Test Project crew, making it the last flight of the Apollo era. It was also the vehicle upon which the Apollo 1 fire killed Grissom, White and Chaffee in a Block I Apollo. The kit includes parts for any of the ten missions flown by this historic rocket including Block I and II Apollo CSMs, and the nose cones for AS-203 and Apollo 5. Model stands approx. 18 inches tall.
