The newest series in the long line of Delta launch vehicles, the Delta IV Medium+ 5,4 is the Delta IV Medium augmented by two or four Graphite Epoxy Solid Rocket Motors (GEMs) and has the capability of lifting 14,475 pounds to Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit or 25,300 pounds to Low Earth Orbit. Model comes with 4 GEMs and can also be configured as the Delta IV Medium+ 5,2 with 2 GEMs. |
