The newest of the Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicles (EELV) the Atlas V 500 was used in 2006 to send the New Horizons spacecraft on its ten year flight to Pluto.

The launch vehicle system is very versatile incorporating up to five strap on solid rocket and various shroud configurations. This model depicts the New Horizons configuration of the vehicle with a full complement of SRBs. Completed model stands 17 inches tall
