The Atlas II series is one of the most successful launch vehicles in the world today. With a Centaur upper stage the Atlas II is capable of lifting payloads of 6,200 lb into geosynchronous transfer orbit. The Atlas II has a 100% success rate lifting 47 satellites including communication satellites for digital television and scientific payloads such as SOHO. Model stands approx. 15 inches tall. This kit was designed by Julius De Roo of Rho models and is now being released for the first time through RealSpace Models. |
